So what is a good sofa bed?
This is always the big question; what really makes a good sofa bed? We then actually ask a question in return, namely; how are you going to use the sofa bed? Will you really sleep on it yourself every night or will it be used occasionally by a guest, for instance? Will the sofa bed be used as a seat during the day or will it be in a separate room, where it will serve as an extra seat? There are different requirements for all the above situations. Of course, the budget will also be adjusted to your requirements for the usage situation. We will provide an explanation for each situation.

Sofa bed for everyday use
If you are going to use the sofa bed as your own bed on a daily basis, we recommend the Royal Mechanics. This mechanism actually just gives the strongest sofa bed with the best bed. The mechanism and support must of course be able to be folded in and out for longer periods without any problems, be used frequently and not sag. With our many years of experience, we know that the Royal mechanism is the strongest mechanism there is and we have been selling it for years without any problems for every night.
The lying height with the Royal Mechanism is between 50 and 54 cm. The Royal mechanism can accommodate mattresses from 14 cm thick. Nowadays, mattresses are becoming increasingly thicker and we also have the option of a mattress thickness of 16, 18 or 20 cm! With most of our models, you can also choose from a variety of mattresses. With the Royal mechanism, you can fold in the mattress with bottom sheet and flannel. Some models have storage space for a blanket and pillow built into the sofa. The mechanism can be easily unfolded without first removing the cushions from the sofa. With this mechanism, the seat and back cushions are not used as part of the bed. So no hassle of lugging loose cushions around! Which is nice when it has to become your daily routine. You transform your sofa into a comfortable bed in no time.
We sell this Royal Mechanic in various bed widths. You can choose from
- Sofa bed 80 cm
- Sofa bed 115 cm
- Sofa bed 140 cm
- Sofa bed 160 cm
- Sofa bed 180 cm
- Sofa bed 2 x 80 cm

Sofa bed for very regular use
Will you have guests coming to stay for a longer period of time or are you looking for something for the holiday home, for example, that you want to use for several weeks at a time? Then it is Comfort Plus Mechanism a good purchase. Opening the bed is done in the same way as with the Royal Mechanism. In a simple twist, a separate mattress emerges. So here too, sitting is separated from lying down.
Want to improve sleeping comfort even more? Then this mechanism offers several choices. For example, you can choose to order a slatted bed base instead of a metal grid. This is qualitatively better if you are really going to use the bed frequently. There is also a wide choice of mattresses, each contributing to sleeping comfort in its own way. Be sure to inform yourself in our showroom.

Sofa bed for occasional use
If you have a sleepover, there is of course also plenty in our range. Your occasional guest will also lie wonderfully on a sofa bed from Easy Living! You might have to do some more handling before the sofa turns into a bed, but of course that's no problem for once. Of course, we want the guest to want to come and have a cosy sleep next time too, so we really don't chase them away with a bad bed! Two mechanics are great for occasional sleepovers. You can choose from the Comfort Mechanics or Functional Mechanics. We will go into a little more detail for each mechanism.
The Comfort Mechanism
The Comfort Mechanism works just as quickly and easily as the Royal Mechanism. However, this mechanism and the mattress suffer less from occasional use. As a result, the quality may be a bit lower, but it also makes the price immediately a lot friendlier! For occasional use, this mechanism is more than fine and offers your occasional guest a wonderful bed!
The Functional Mechanism
A sofa bed with this mechanism generally takes up the least space in the room. The seating area often also becomes part of the bed, taking up no space for a mechanism work. This sofa beds are often suitable for a small space. You need to perform slightly more actions to turn the sofa bed into a bed, but these are often very easy to carry out. Of course, we provide a detailed explanation upon purchase.
Sofa bed for the narrow long room
Sometimes there is not so much space to unfold a sofa bed. For this, we also have suitable sofa beds. These then have a Functional Transverse Mechanism. With such a system, after unfolding you create a bed where the sofa width becomes the bed length. In other words, you sleep with your body alongside the wall. With this system, the seat is used as a mattress. Sometimes there is also a storage compartment under these sofas for bed linen, so you don't have to store that separately either. Always nice when space is at a premium.
