Small sofa beds

A small sofa bed for compact homes

The biggest advantage of a sofa bed is the extra space it creates. One piece of furniture replaces both a sofa and a bed. This means you don't need to reserve extra floor space, which can make all the difference between cramped and comfortable, especially in a studio flat, student room, guest room, or other smaller spaces. Thanks to modern mechanisms and lightweight frames, you can unfold the seating area into a full-length mattress in one smooth motion. This ensures you always have a comfortable place to sleep available, without the compact sofa taking up a lot of unnecessary room on a daily basis.

Choosing the right small sofa bed

Before you fall in love with a fabric or colour, it's wise to determine how much space there really is. Measure not only how much space the sofa takes up against the wall, but also how much floor space is needed when you unfold the small sofa bed into a bed. Take radiators, cupboards, and doorways into account. Especially in small rooms, a model that fits perfectly in its seating position may still not have enough unfolding space.

In our showroom, we display various sizes, from 80, 100, 120 to 140 cm sofa width and an extended length of 195 or 200 cm. Bring your exact measurements, and we will advise you on which model would fit well in your home.

Are you going to sleep on it every night?

If you use the small sofa bed not just for guests, but also as a regular sleeping place, then opt for extra comfort with the Royal mechanics. This model has a sturdy steel frame, a supportive slatted base and a thick mattress made of cold foam or pocket springs. You simply pull the loop behind the backrest, and the bed smoothly folds out into a comfortable sleeping place.

Small size, big comfort

Just because a sofa bed takes up little space doesn't mean you have to compromise on comfort. The seat cushions are filled with resilient foam, and the backrest provides pleasant lumbar support while sitting. There's also plenty of choice in upholstery, from easy-care fabrics for families to more luxurious materials that give your interior a high-end look. Thanks to the sturdy frame, the small sofa bed will continue to operate smoothly, even when you open and close it regularly.

Extra storage space for even more space saving

A number of models feature hidden storage space under the seat. Handy for bedding, cushions or an extra throw. This keeps the space around the sofa tidy and saves you from having to dedicate a separate cabinet or storage box. Are you specifically looking for extra storage space?
